More anniversary pins and clothing for the kids today on What's Up Wednesday!
Our 50th anniversary pins continue to trickle in and this week, we have two of the more popular ones for you. The Balloon Glow pin features not only glowing balloons but fireworks going off in the background. A very nice simple design that also features the raised gold 50. Did you know that while the Balloon Glow became an official part of Balloon Fiesta in 1987, Albuquerque balloonists have been glowing their balloons, mostly on Christmas Eve, since the late 70s.
The other 50th anniversary pin out this week is the Special Shapes Rodeo pin. While special shape balloons have been around Balloon Fiesta since the very early days, we started featuring special shape balloons in 1989, when they inflated and flew from the field on Thursday and Friday afternoons. Of course these days, the shapes, most of which fly all week, are featured at both morning and evening sessions on Thursday and Friday, with the evening sessions turning into a "Glowdeo". The Special Shape Rodeo pin features 4 fun shapes and the raised gold 50 to match the rest of the series.
On the clothing side of the shop, one of our first kid's item has arrived. The youth word balloon features colorful balloons with Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and more making up the shape of the main balloon on a dark blue shirt. In youth sizes from XS to XL, your little one will want to wear this shirt all the time!
Finally, don't forget this Sunday is Father's Day. While we probably can't ship your order in time for the big day, there are lots of items in the store that Dad would appreciate. And to all the Dad's out there, Happy Father's Day!
