This year's event pin features three iconic balloons from the early years. Front and center is the balloon our founder Sid Cutter flew in the 1972 gathering. The roadrunner/coyote balloon was Sid's balloon in 1973 and the World Balloon was one of many "Worlds" that Sid built and flew recognizing the name of his company. World Balloon Championships was renamed World Balloon Corporation after AIBF Inc was created in 1976 to take over the production and presentation of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. 

The pin also features a raised 50 to celebrate the 50th Balloon Fiesta being held Oct. 1-9, 2022.
