What's Up Wednesday, June 26, 2024 #126

This week on What's Up Wednesday, another milestone in the countdown to Balloon Fiesta 52, and a heads up on next week's holiday schedule and a couple of new products for you.

Looking at the Countdown timer at the top of the Balloon Fiesta Stuff page, we see we are now at 100 days til "Burners On!" And around the office when the calendar drops into double digits the urgency to get everything completed and in place gets kicked up a notch or two. This year looks to be no different as we continue to work through shipping delays and material shortages. But we will persevere. 

The calendar also shows Independence Day next week. Our gift shop will be closed on Thursday July 4th. The online store remains open 24/7 and we'll fill orders when we return to the office.

With the calendar stuff out of the way, let's get to the new items. First up, a new item in our year-round collection. It's a multi-tool. This Leatherman-like multi mini tool features pliers/scissor, plain knife, sawtooth blade, Phillips and regular screwdriver bottle opener and a flashlight. It's a dark blue color, has Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta laser etched in the handle and comes with a keyring and carrying pouch. Every balloon crew member should have one for all those tasks when you need a little help. It's even good for those non-ballooners.

Another new product in our year-round lineup is the youth tote. These color totes are soft and cuddly in their own right, but stuffed inside each tote is a plush animal friend. The blue and purple versions contain a zebra. The denim tote has a horse. The tote features the Balloon Fiesta Logo and each animal has Balloon Fiesta ribbon around its neck. About six inches wide by 4 inches tall, this tote/animal package is a great gift for any time of the year.
