This week on What's Up Wednesday a cute and cuddly way to celebrate 240 years of Hot Air Balloons.
This past weekend, the world celebrated the first public demonstration of the hot air balloon. On June 5, 1783, the Montgolfier brothers sent up the first hot air balloon without any passengers in a demonstration of the concept of a hot air balloon. It would be a few months later on September 19 when the first living creatures flew in a hot air balloon and those creatures were a sheep, duck and rooster. The idea behind these animals was the sheep's close resemblance to the human physiology, the duck and rooster were more of a control mechanism being birds, able to fly although at different altitudes and levels.
This week, you can be the first to have these creatures in your home to keep you warm, cool or just provide pleasure. The plush animals are actually Warmies®. Soft, weighted for comfort, and easy to love. Simply heat Warmies in the microwave or chill them in the freezer to enjoy the therapeutic benefits and the calming scent of real French lavender. With cuddly companions for kids and wellness products for all, everyone can experience the soothing, stress-relieving power of Warmies while remembering the first to fly in a hot air balloon. They even come dressed for Balloon Fiesta with a colorful bandana.
Next week on What's Up Wednesday, we'll release another line of collectables, the pins!
