What's Up Wednesday, May 7, 2025, #172

Ken Tuley ·

This week on What's Up Wednesday, a new ball cap for 2025 and a couple of items that sold out quickly are back in stock.

Before we get to the new and restocked items, did you know that May is considered Star Wars month. According to StarWarsReport.com, every day in May is somehow associated with Star Wars. For instance, today is Obi Wan Kenobi day. Anyway, the point of this trivia is to mention that we have two Star Wars pins in stock. These are not official AIBF pins but were created by the folks that bring us the Darth Vader and Yoda special shape balloons each year. Just another way to celebrate George Lucas' birthday next Wednesday, May 14.

In What's Up Wednesday #163, we introduced you to new silicon jar openers, coasters,  and trivets. We didn't stock very many at that time as we wanted to test the waters on popularity. Well they were so popular we sold out in days. The good news is that they are back in stock. And this time we ordered a lot. In case you missed our initial announcement in early March, the 7.5 inch diameter Trivet/pot holder is a silicone, non-slip, dishwasher safe item that's heat resistant to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Each design features different colorful balloons in flight. For help in opening those jars, how about a silicone non-slip jar opener. This thin, 6 inch, but super "grippy" item will provide the extra grip you need to open the most stubborn jars. The 4 inch Lillie Pad is perfect for so many things. Billed as the Coaster for everything, not only does it serve that purpose, it's soft enough to never break, has a raised lip forming a cup or bowl that is strong enough to hold water and protect your furniture. It works under a wine bottle, candles, sponges, plants, and can even serve as a candy dish. It also features beautiful balloons in flight. The pattern varies on all these items, providing a variety of scenes to brighten up your home as you use these everywhere.

Now that we are into the month of May, the days are getting longer and we're getting exposed to a lot more sun. Be the first on your crew to sport our new ball cap. Dark Blue with splashes of "paint" behind an embroidered Balloon Fiesta, this cap supports the Painted Horizons theme and will match any outfit. It also features a soft mesh back with plastic adjustable strip. Finally 2025 is embroidered on the back. Grab yours today and be prepared for summer.

˜ext week on What's Up Wednesday, time for more 2025 pins to be released and a new twist on a popular item to keep those drinks cold. Until then, Thanks for your support of Balloon Fiesta and Balloon Fiesta Stuff.
